I think Jarach probably used the worst example of ironic quotation marks in the whole book. To say Spanish "Civil" War almost certainly appears to say the war wasn't civil at all.
It's ironic that Jarach criticizes AK Press for its typos b/c I've seen lots in this issue, not least of all the first Stirner piece allegedly continued on pg 64, but those are the endnotes for the 2nd Stirner article!
I found the review fair
I found the review fair in a number of ways. The fact that typos are mentioned would be minor to me if it were not for the other issues that are mentioned in the review. The writing is difficult enough when such an ambitious goal is at hand and the idea that definitions and terms are used haphazardly in a manor that is inconsistent only makes the book harder to read. The index being missing is also unfathomable to me in a work of this nature. I found the work dogmatic and almost authoritarian in several places.
I hate criticizing fellow anarchist. Having said that this is a work that to me invites criticism. If I had written the review I would have found it hard to be as kind as this reviewer. I have to ask the commenter above if he feels that the other criticisms of AFAQ where without merit?
