Editorial: On Sectarianism" by Lawrence Jarach
Sectarianism, based on whichever criteria the sectarians choose, is clearly detrimental to the growth of the influence of anarchist ideas and practices, and creates unnecessary animosities between and among various anarchists. Animosity should exist because of actual substance and apparent contradictions in practice rather than subjective (and often personal) rivalries between the ideas of various individuals and factions. If what we're after is a larger, more inclusive, and diverse anarchist presence, then isn't it better to be clear and explicit about our disagreements' debating them honestly and with integrity rather than just condemning and excluding anarchists with different opinions?

The Anarchy: A Journal of Desire Armed website has been totally revamped. This includes an unmoderated forum (What we are calling the Cesspool) for discussions about the magazine and more. AJODAists continue to update their blogs (Including Aragorn!, AAA, and Kriegspiel), and the AJODA forum continues to function. Our hardcopy subscriptions are still only $20 for 5 issues and we really need to grow our subscription numbers. If you read Anarchy there is no cheaper way to get the magazine delivered to your door than through a subscription. If you shoplift it, only read back issues, or just read the copy that sits in the bathroom, see this as a plea to help out a financially strapped project. On the issue of anarchy we come to the realization that although children and adults say that they are all for revolutions they continually decide that non-violent gestures will get the governments attention and that all will be well if the government involved themselves. this is the exact opposite of what will eventually be the turning point of the world. what people need to understand is that as an anarchist we are held in the same contempt as left-wing terrorists and that people think that we condone violence and even encourage that train of thought. and even though many of our kind see that violence is a way to extract what we desire from the government, it is essentially a lost cause. NO government or body of power will recognize that we are the future, we see that officials of state and others are abusing the power that they believe are theirs for that individuals personal use in getting what they cannot possibly ask superiors for: power. our children our denied health and other benefits that bodies of power use for there own gain. what anarchists need to do is realize that we are ultimately alone and that we need to fight for everything we hold dear to our heats. Life, Love, and a liberty to use what we have in hand to gain the same privledges that we are denied.
THE TIME IS NOW.
